
Laura Meyer is a Licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas for more than a decade. She is a Certified Sexual Addiction therapist (CSAT) and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) for money disorders. Laura is currently in private practice specializing in couples and individual recovery from infidelity and betrayal, and sex and love addiction. Laura is also a trauma-trained therapist utilizing interventions such as EMDR and IFS to treat complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD).
Laura has been a Marriage Coach for more than a decade and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work with couples. In addition to providing individual and couples therapy, Laura holds weekly support groups for betrayal trauma, and sex and love addiction.
Laura received her master’s degree in biblical counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. She holds memberships in IITAP (International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals) and EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) and has completed a trauma certificate with the Trauma Support Services of North Texas (TSSNT). She is listed with the North Texas Sexual Health Professional community providing therapy services in the Dallas/DFW area.
Laura is an avid writer who loves to cook, entertain, and ride her bike. She is married to Brett and is mom, stepmother, and grannie to Jade, Julia, and Jessie.
