SUMMARY:Recovery Dharma
DESCRIPTION:Recovery Dharma at Mindful Centers is a peer-led support community for individuals seeking freedom from addiction through mindfulness\, compassion\, and shared experience. Similar to 12-step programs\, Recovery Dharma offers a structured\, community-based approach to recovery that emphasizes personal responsibility\, mutual support\, and ongoing practice. Unlike 12-step models\, Recovery Dharma is non-theistic and rooted in mindfulness and Buddhist-inspired principles rather than a higher-power framework. \nThis group provides a safe\, non-judgmental space where participants support one another as equals\, honoring each person’s unique recovery journey and inner wisdom. The group is peer-to-peer and not a therapy group; it is facilitated by non-professional community members. At times\, Mindful Centers clinicians or staff may join as guest speakers to share mindfulness-based insights\, but they do not lead or provide clinical treatment within the group. \nRecovery Dharma draws inspiration from Buddhist traditions that originated in India and were carried forward across many Asian cultures. We approach these teachings with respect\, cultural humility\, and gratitude for the communities who preserved and shared this wisdom. \nThose interested in joining must complete a required 20-minute consultation prior to participation. To schedule a consultation\, please click here or call 562-356-8686. You may also email info@mindfulcenters.com.
